MUSEUM: Introduction |
The Saints Museum of Olot is placed in a neo-gothic building of the XIX century well-known as "El Arte Cristiano". The construction of the building began in 1890 following a project elaborated by the modernist architect Joaquim Codina Matalí, made to order by Joaquim Vayreda.
The initial building had ground and underground floor and two floors more dedicated to housing of the Vayreda's family. Today, almost the most part of the building is dedicated to the museum, but there are several parts used for “El Arte Cristiano” workshop yet. |
