There is no doubt that entering the Saints Museum is both an impressive and a unique experience that
will help visitors to learn more about the traditional techniques used to produce religious imagery and
employed in the ancient artistic trades related to this activity, which is so deeply rooted in our county
and has made Olot a focal point of traditional interest.
The opening of the Saints Museum means making a dream project come true. Beyond the religious
and iconographic meaning that its name might suggest, this museum also encompasses cultural,
economic, historical, ethnological and artistic interests – at times difficult to disentangle – that
make up a key part of the city’s own identity and more generically of our culture.
In some ways, this
centre is also acts as recognition of the many people who have devoted their lives to crafting saints
over the course of more than one century.
